A tool is not dishonest. Dishonesty occurs when someone misrepresents how work was created, violates a clearly stated rule, or claims knowledge or authorship that is not their own.
Academic communities should define how tools may be used, communicate those expectations clearly, and evaluate people fairly against the rules that were established.
Academic integrity is a commitment to honest work, clear expectations, and responsibility.

Human judgment matters
Technology can inform decisions. It should not replace fair review, context, or human judgment.
Progress is not misconduct
Appropriate use of a modern tool is not cheating. Misrepresentation and rule-breaking are.
We do not have to choose between academic integrity and technological progress.
Shared capacity
Useful computing resources should not sit idle when education can use them.
Businesses may have computing capacity that is not fully used. Schools, colleges, and researchers may have meaningful work constrained by access. HIADO explores responsible ways to bridge that gap.
